Possible?
sure, wanna buy me an ipod touch?
sure, wanna prove your capabilities as a developer?
nope!
i could try it out if only the required sdk's and tools where free
($99) to join the iphone developers
making apps for jail-broken Iphone/Itouch's isn't too difficult, played around with simple 3d games at the start of the year.
But yeah, don't have one, and wouldn't have enough experience to make it. yet.
What about Open Pandora or GP2X?
>>7
I actually have a gp2x, and my pandora is on preorder (2000-ish in the queue).
I am unlikely to port vnds to them since the low-res images would look totally shitty on them. might be passable on the gp2x, maybe.
onscripter should run natively on both though.

Well, actually, the images could easily be replaced with higher resolution ones if you wanted to play on other platforms. I spent tonight working on a quick and dirty Java based interpreter for VNDS scripts... In fact, it would probably run on the pandora as-is(yes, I'm a fellow pre-orderer).
As far as the Pandora goes, though, I'm more interested in trying to get this http://www.elliotglaysher.org/rlvm/index.html to compile.

yea having another set of downloads depending on the platform could work.
rlvm looks pretty cool and I`m actually working on something like that for nitro+'s engine.
Wow, then I'm the third pandora-preorderer here!
And guess what, I already have mine! So if you have any questions about it or you'd like me to try something for you, don't hesitate to ask. We are VNDS-brothers after all.
I haven't tried ONscripter yet, but Narcissu got ported already and you can play gp2x-ports of various VNs fine over GINGE (a compatibility layer not unlike WINE).
The DS is still my favorite console for VNs because of the second screen. Ever since trying VNDS, I can't stand text overlaying the images and character sprites anymore.

FSN isnt onscripter (its kirikiri).
and I mean you should be able to compile it with little problem.

Developing for the open handheld gp2x is free and it has probably the most comprehensive documentation ever. With GINGE, more modern devices like wiz, caanoo and open pandora can run gp2x software just fine.
>>14
and you can count the number of people who own a gp2x on one hand.
>>11
If you have a pandora, why don't you try compiling RLVM and see if it can run?
Also, since you have Narcissu, you should be able to just go into the PND and replace the data files with the data files from some other ONScripter game...
And do you know if your pandora can run Java? I've been working on a Java interpreter for VNDS (might never be completed, though, due to sound issues), and it would be exciting if we could run it on the pandora.

seems possible.
[obligatory HAHA YOU'RE USING JAVA here].
