Right, it's just been translated by CountPacula, and I was wondering, any chance of a translation?

If somebody wants to port the game, I have most of the source files (voices, sound effects, images, script, etc)

If you don't mind uploading the files, I'd be happy to give it a shot even though I've only glanced at the commands used by VNDS.

Looks relatively easy to learn looking at the commands right now but if I encountered any stuff that broke horribly, I'm pretty sure posting here would be a good first step.

Thanks, but the archive you uploaded seems to have a problem -- a large majority of the files are corrupted. I've tried it two times now(with winrar and 7zip), so either I'm continuously 'doing it wrong' or it's a problem with the archive itself.

I can confirm that something happened to that archive. I went ahead and downloaded it and tried to decompress it, and 7zip errored out on a whole lot of files.

It worked fine on my computer xD. Maybe mediafire can't take that large of an archive.

However, I have two questions related to how it runs on VNDS-
1-
Would you have advice or tips on how to remove that black box from around all the characters? That's probably the thing that is annoying me as of right now.
2-
I've converted all the voice files to .aac, but when I use 'sound /voices/etc/etc.aac 1' in VNDS, it doesn't seem to want to work. Although because it's sound I don't think I'll be too concerned about it until near the end.

There is no black box. The box is transparent ingame. Probably the original engine used some kind of black shade as a transparency color. VNDS uses another one. You will have to change the black to that VNDS color by using an image editing programm's pipette tool.

Thanks for the advice, I've edited all the files so they're transparent on VNDS now(although horribly edited). Took around two or three hours to get them all done, but oh well.

I've ported everything up to the first choice so far and have roughly 1/5 of the audio files plotted. That means I'm at approximately what, 20%?

Well, after like eight months of working on this(equating to 3600 lines of text...meaning 450 a month), it's finished. The text and main-character audio, at least. Sound effects and music I didn't add in while going through because I'm lazy. So I have to go through a second time to find them... eh...

I'm all set to upload a soundless version right now, but I won't because there's more or less no reason if you're not going to be able to hear the several hundred voice files consisting of nothing but 'NNNYAH, MORE' in Japanese. Like, half of them(maybe even more?) are moans and I'm not even joking about that.

Nine months later...

Things I should comment on:
That black dot on some of Yuuna's sprites is SUPPOSE to be there. It's distracting, but whatever.
There's no music due to GURU MEDITATION errors, but there is music included if anybody wants to have a shot at fixing that up. There should still be the tags to play music all throughout the script.
Everything is .PNG because quality at the cost of a few extra MB. Also because .JPG backgrounds looked pretty nasty.

Just posting an update, this project is almost finished. Delayed a bit because of a snag, but almost finished.

While I'm here, has anybody experienced the error 'maximum number of sprites reached', and are there any fixes for it?

You can hit the sprite limit if you use many setimg commands in a row without a bgload between them. You're either using a lot of small images at once or accidentally using setimg instead of bgload for changing the background.

2 is done at that link, and I might(but probably won't) do 3. Included is the music, voices, and sound effects.

You might find that some voices don't work properly and sound like a terrible screech of something dying because I didn't check for sound errors, only visual errors. If you do encounter that, just post and I'll upload a fixed version of the file(of course, include the line it happened at).

You'll also find that there are actually some visual errors such as character sprites not showing up/being in the wrong spot, and maybe some typos too(definitely some typos). Nothing too major, though.

I done no actual translation of the game, so I can't really be the one to tell you what to do and what not to do. I'm pretty sure it should be fine if you did, though.

Because I can't e-mail you the fix(hotmail doesn't allow .scr attachments, apparently), I'll just tell you how to fix it.

In choices.scr, search for the 'c3'. Add 'fi' so it looks like this, and you're done;
