Just a quick Qu, has a port of Ever17 to vnds already been done?

My CS course is megas slow, and i need a project to keep me ocupied, so if it hasn't been done, i might try my hand at it.

It'l take time (first time using VNDS coding), but i really liked this game, and would be willing to port it over

It's funny you should mention Ever17, as just in the last 24 hours: http://weeaboo.nl/index.php?aid=23

Alternatively, you can try:

Phantom of Inferno

  • The official English release uses a horrible DVD format.
  • A new Phantom anime is about to start broadcasting.
  • Possibly difficult to extract the script from the DVD.

Chaos;Head

  • Uses KrKr2 (nice human readable scripting language).
  • Logic blocks are spammed throughout the script making machine conversion difficult.

Wind -a Breath of Heart-

  • Scripting language seems very simple.
  • Game itself is pretty bland.

Chaos;Head uses N2System. It's a clusterfuck of code and the engine has a ton of effects that won't translate well into VNDS.

ah, wow there goes that idea. At least it's being ported by someone with experience, so they'll do a good job.

Hm, haven't played Wind or Phantom of Inferno, though I've been meaning to. Might have a look and see. Till then I'll practice by doing small jobs like my own port of the narcissu2 mini-demo.

Cheers, everyone

Oh, a port of Phantom would be fucking awesome...
The original has always received top critics and the english dvd edition must have been an epic fail.

I think this would be perfectly fit for vnds.
Though, maybe the most complex to port.
Anyone willing to struggle it?

Phantom of Inferno would be amazing! If its even possible to make it for DS(??).
Anyway, Ever17 is my favorite visual novel game so I really can't wait for it. Thanks!

It vanished alongside the porter.

The porter never vanished...anoNL is still alive...I just don't think he works on porting it.

I really want that port and the now-translated Remember11 on my DS.

Ever17 would be fairly simple to port given it's normal story-branching format. Remember 11 would probably be kinda hellish to port in the vein of Kagetsu Tohya. Easier, of course, but still hard.

Argh, and if it worked I would LOVE to have MuvLuv Extra/Unlimited/Alternative on DS, but it would be insanely hard graphically to replicate. But that's completely unrelated to Ever17.

>MuvLuv on DS

Or even better, how about FateStayNight?

So is there a port of Ever17?? I tried the Weeaboo link but can't find it anywhere on their site. Tried googling it too but can only find the PSP version. Any help would be much much appreciated.
To annonymous on post 16, there is a F/SN on DS

The is no port of Ever17 for VNDS. Once upon a time anoNL was working on that, though I don't really know what happened to it.

Install Linux on it and run the game using WINE.

linux is just as bad (possibly worse) as a mac.

linux is possibly worse but possibly better. the greatness/badness of linux, unlike that of windows and mac depends much more on the user than it does on the marketing chaps.
